AI Organizer

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 18, 2026

AI Organizer is a Chrome Extension that lets signed-in users save YouTube videos, organize them into collections, capture available transcripts, and request AI-generated summaries. This policy describes the V1 private beta data handling baseline. AI Organizer is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.

Data We Process

How Data Is Used

Saved videos and collections are used to provide the user's YouTube knowledge library. Transcripts are used for search and for explicit user-triggered summary generation. Saving a video does not trigger AI generation. AI generation only starts after the user requests a video package, translation, or collection summary.

Storage And Service Providers

AI Organizer uses Supabase for authentication, database storage, row-level security, and short privileged backend operations. Inngest coordinates background AI jobs. The current V1 AI provider is OpenAI, used only from trusted server-side code during explicit summary requests. The Chrome Extension does not call OpenAI directly and does not contain service-role or AI provider keys.

OpenAI API data retention is governed by the provider's API terms and enterprise/API data controls. AI Organizer sends transcripts and summary context to OpenAI only for explicit user-requested generation, does not use the Chrome Extension to send data directly to OpenAI, and does not use third-party analytics SDKs to profile extension usage.

Stripe processes subscription payments through hosted Checkout and Customer Portal pages. AI Organizer does not collect or store card numbers in the extension or Supabase. AI Organizer stores the Stripe customer, subscription, checkout-session, plan, billing interval, status, and billing-period data needed to provide paid access and support billing issues.

Transcript Retention

When a transcript is available, AI Organizer may store a normalized transcript server-side so summaries, search, and compatible cache reuse can work reliably. Users do not browse raw transcript text in V1. If a transcript cannot be captured, the video can remain saved with failure metadata and no fabricated transcript is created.

Deletion, Archive, And Takedown

Archive hides a saved video from the active library and search while preserving the user's row for restore. Permanent saved-video removal deletes the user's saved-video row and user search document. Account deletion must delete or anonymize direct user-context records. Server-controlled global cache records can remain where legally allowed, but user-specific links to those records are removed. Takedown requests for affected YouTube videos or transcripts should mark cache entries unavailable and prevent future reuse where required.

Analytics And Error Tracking

No third-party analytics or error tracking SDK is bundled in the Chrome Extension yet. Current telemetry is first-party operational data in Supabase plus platform logs. If external analytics or error tracking is added later, this policy and Chrome Web Store disclosures must be updated first.
